Seiko Presage HCB004 Daiquiri Cocktail Time GMT Automatic Watch

The Seiko Presage HCB004 is part of the Cocktail Time “Around the World” GMT series, where each watch is inspired by a drink from a different country. This one celebrates the Daiquiri, the classic Cuban cocktail of white rum, lime, and sugar.

The light dial takes its color from the white rum at the heart of the drink. Its stamped radial pattern catches the light and gives the dial a soft, shimmering texture. It sits inside a 40.5mm stainless steel case with a gold-colored finish, paired with a matching gold-tone bracelet. The result is a bright, warm, all-gold look that stands out from the usual GMT watch. A box-shaped Hardlex crystal finishes off the classic Cocktail Time style.

Inside is Seiko’s Caliber 4R34 automatic movement with 24 jewels and about 41 hours of power reserve. It winds itself as you wear it and can also be wound by hand. It also has a hacking seconds hand for precise time setting, a date display, and a 24-hour hand for tracking a second time zone, which makes it a stylish travel companion. You can watch the movement at work through the see-through screw case back.

The bracelet closes with a push-button deployment clasp, and the watch is water resistant to 50 meters for everyday wear. It’s a great choice if you want a dress watch that’s a little bolder, with a GMT function for good measure.
